What is the Micro Peel Plus?
- In-office procedure utilizing salicylic acid
- It increases cellular turnover
- It refines the epidermis
What does the MicroPeel Plus accomplish?
- It may lessen the appearance of epidermal lines
- It may lessen the appearance of epidermal pigmentation
- It may redure the frequency and severity of acne. However, it may increase acne in the beginning stages
- It may eliminate dry skin
- It may refine pore size and oil production
- It may reduce keratosis
- It may make skin appear and feel smoother
- It may soften the skin
What is the time frame for this program and how many treatments will I need?
- Acne patients should return every 14 days to receive a total of six treatments.
Other patients should return every 3-4 weeks
- To achieve desired, realistic results 4-6 treatments are needed
- Once desired results are achieved, maintenance treatments should be once every 1-2 months
- In order for you to see a significant difference, 1-3 treatments are necessary
- To obtain optimal results, you must be on the proper home and clinical program for your skin type
What is the Home Treatment Program?
- You will not have to throw away the products you have been using. However we ask that you put them aside and use the BioMedic products for the duration of the treatment so that the results of the MicroPeel can be properly monitored and maintained
- For the first 5-7 days immediately following the MicroPeel Plus, you will be using a simple, mild 2-step program
- After the 5-7 day healing time, you will be using approximately 5-6 products. Some individuals may need a pharmaceutical medication
- These affordable products are only available in doctor’s offices, not in department stores, salons, or pharmacies
Conditions when you would not be able to have a MicroPeel Plus
- If you are using or have used Accutane
- If you have a history of frequent cold sores
- If you are pregnant or breast feeding
What restrictions should I keep in mind when having MicroPeel Plus treatments?
- If a cold sore is present or if you have had one in the past 6 weeks do not have a treatment
- Be sure to remove contact lenses for the procedure
- Both patient and technician should always use eye protection during the acid and CO2 portion of treatment.
