Our orthopedic surgeons specialize in bone, muscle and joint surgery, as well as joint replacement. Our department also offers non- and minimally invasive treatment and rehabilitation of bone fractures, dislocations, hand disorders, sports injuries and back pain.
Ryan Ritchhart, P.A.
Ryan Ritchhart attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, where he received his B.S. in Psychology in 1995. He then attended the Physician Assistant program at Midwestern University in Glendale, Az graduating in 2001, completing the National Certification in 2001. Ryan practiced with the Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Az from 2002 to 2007. He then moved to Northern Colorado in 2007 and worked for the Greeley Medical Clinic Orthopedic Department in Greeley, Co. He came to work at Longmont Clinic Orthopedics in 2009.

Nirav Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shah attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Il where he received his B.A. He went to medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. and received his M.D. in 2005. Dr. Shah went on to complete a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Washington School of Medicine and then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Shah was a team physician for several high school and college sports teams. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He joined Longmont Clinic in August of 2011.

Peter D. Wood, M.D.
Dr. Peter Wood is a graduate of the
University of California in San
Diego with a B.S. in biochemistry. He continued on
to receive his medical degree
and complete an internship and
residency at the University of
California at San Diego School
of Medicine. He then completed
a fellowship in sports medicine
at Emory University. Prior to
joining Longmont Clinic in
1997, Dr. Wood was Chief of the
Orthopedics Department at the
Woodland Medical Group in
Woodland, California. He is a
fellow of the American Academy
of Orthopedic Surgery and is a
board certified orthopedic surgeon.
