Otolaryngologists, or ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctors, provide medical and surgical care for ear, nose and throat disorders. These can include cleft palate, sinus problems, sleep apnea, tonsil and adenoid surgery, nasal obstructions or deviated septums, voice and swallowing disorders, and other head and neck problems. ENT's may also perform facial, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery, cancer surgery or reconstructive ear surgery for hearing loss or chronic infection.
Abby Emdur, M.D.
Dr. Abby Emdur is an ear, nose and throat surgeon
who specializes in voice and swallowing
disorders. She received a B.A. from the
University of Pennsylvania in 1997. She went
on to attend the University of Southern
California School of Medicine in Los Angeles
and graduated with her M.D. in 2002. Dr.
Emdur completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology — head and neck surgery at the University of
California in San Diego. She began her

Raj TerKonda, M.D.
Dr. Raj TerKonda graduated
from
the University of Missouri in
Kansas City with a B.A. in biology
and chemistry. He then
received his M.D. from the
University of Missouri in 1989.
He went on to receive a M.S. in otolaryngology — head and neck surgery from the University of
Minnesota in Minneapolis. He
completed an internship in general surgery at the
Hennipen County Medical
Center, and a residency in otolaryngology — head and neck surgery at the University of
Minnesota. Dr. TerKonda then
completed an approved
fellowship
in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the
University of California — Davis.
He is board certified by the
American Board of
Otolaryngology and the
American Board of Facial Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery. He
is a member of the American
College of Surgeons, the
American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery, the American Academy
of Otolaryngology — Head and
Neck Surgery, and the American
Cleft Palate Craniofacial
Association.
Dr. TerKonda specializes in
facial cosmetic surgery
including: facelifts, rhinoplasty,
eyelid tucks
(blephoroplasty), cosmetic laser
surgery, computerized video
imaging, and
microdermabrasian/skin care. He
also specializes in congenital
pediatric deformities (cleft
lip/palate), facial trauma and
reconstruction, and skin cancer. He joined
Longmont Clinic in
August 2000. Dr. TerKonda
