Eric M. Benson, M.D.

Dr. Eric Benson graduated from Yale University in 1992 with a B.S. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, and received his M.D. in 1996. Dr. Benson completed his family medicine residency at the Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Benson joined Longmont Clinic in September 1999.

David W. Britt, M.D.

Dr. David Britt received his B.A. in molecular biology from the University of Colorado in 1983, and his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his residency at the University of Texas at Houston in 1991. Dr. Britt is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Britt practiced at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas, for two years before joining the staff of Longmont Clinic in July 1993.

Catherine Cavender, M.D.

Dr. Catherine Cavender graduated from the University of Vermont in 1991. She went on to attend medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated with her M.D. in 1996 and then completed a residency in family medicine at St. Anthony’s in Denver. Dr. Cavender maintains a strong interest in community service medicine and speaks fluent Spanish.

James C. Freudenburg, M.D.

Dr. James Freudenburg received his bachelor of science degree in 1970, his medical degree in 1974, and completed his residency in 1977 at the University of Nebraska. He was certified with the American Board of Family Medicine in 1977 and recertified in 1989, 1996, 2002 and 2009. Dr. Freudenburg holds a teaching appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Medical Center. He joined Longmont Clinic in 1977.

Richard E. Jacobi, M.D.

Dr. Richard Jacobi received a bachelor of science in biology at Rutgers University in 1982 before earning his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine at Philadelphia in 1986. He completed his residency in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester and Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York, in 1989. He became board certified in 1989 and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians. Jerome C. Landblom, M.D.

Dr. Jerome Landblom received a B.S. from the University of North Dakota in 1979 and continued there to receive his M.D. in 1983. He completed an internship and residency at the University of North Dakota Family Practice Center/Bismark Hospital in 1986. Dr. Landblom has practiced family medicine at the Fargo Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota, and at Longs Peak Family Practice in Longmont, Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society. He was board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1986, and recertified in 1998. Robert V. Nouhan, M.D.

Dr. Robert Nouhan attended the University of Montana and received a B.A. in cellular biology in 1992. He then attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where he received his M.D. Dr. Nouhan completed his residency at Swedish Family Medicine in Littleton in 2001. He worked at Navajo Health Foundations in Arizona as a family medicine doctor and then at La Clinica del Valle in Medford, Oregon, for a short time before joining North Bend Medical Center in Coos Bay, Oregon, in 2003. Dr. Nouhan is a board certified family medicine physician. He speaks fluent Spanish and has experience caring for many Spanish-speaking patients. He joined Carbon Valley Medical Center in October 2007.

Lyle M. Pfeifer, M.D.

Dr. Lyle Pfeifer earned a bachelor of science degree at the University of Nebraska in 1982 and received his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1986. Dr. Nicky Theiss attended the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and graduated with her B.S. in 1997. She then attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she received her M.D. in 2002 and then completed a residency in 2005. Dr. Theiss is board certified in family medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Theiss worked at the Sonoran Medical Centers in Phoenix, Arizona, prior to joining the physicians at the Carbon Valley Medical Center in July 2008.
