If you have any changes in your breast, pain or have a personal history of breast cancer, please inform scheduler prior to appointment.
You MUST check in 10 minutes prior to your appointed time.
If your last mammogram was NOT done at Longmont Clinic, please arrange to have prior films mailed to us for comparison or please bring films with you. It is very important that we have prior films; this allows our radiologist to make the best possible diagnosis.
Our mailing address is: 1925 W. Mountain View Ave. Longmont, Co. 80501 Attention: Radiology File Room.
Important steps to prepare you on the day of your exam:
1.) Please do not use any deodorant, lotion, powder or perfume on your breast or underarms. The use of personal hygiene products can interfere with your exam.
When you arrive for your appointment:
1.) Please stop at the front registration desk and tell them that you are here for your mammography appointment. 2.) The registration clerk will give you white labels, please bring them to radiology when you check in with the radiology receptionist.
After your appointment: occasionally you may be called back for additional views and/or ultrasound. A call back does not necessarily mean we found cancer only that the radiologist has requested them in order to view a certain area better.
*Note: Longmont Clinic now has the state of the art, digital mammography imaging. With our new digital system, you will receive the lowest dose of radiation possible to obtain a good study.
